Innovation at the Intersection of AI, Governance, and Compliance
APS Global maintains an active Research & Development and Executive Briefing program focused on sovereign AI, advanced compliance automation, and cybersecurity innovation. Our work bridges cutting-edge academic framework development with practical, real-world federal and enterprise execution.
Masterclass & Executive Education
Led by Dr. Rick Hansen, our educational programs equip corporate boards, defense contractors, enterprise developers, and federal workforces with the strategic and technical depth required to navigate secure AI governance.
We partner with premier learning institutions, elite talent networks, and federal agencies to deliver premium instruction including:
- C-Suite & Board Room Briefings: Demystifying Sovereign AI, managing platform data retention risks, and establishing Chief AI Officer (CAIO) governance frameworks.
- Advanced AI & LLM Technical Masterclasses: Architecting and securing local, agentic, air-gapped, and FedRAMP High cloud AI deployments using H2O.ai, NVIDIA DGX, and Lenovo systems.
- Federal Compliance Workshops: Accelerated CMMC, NIST SP 800-171/53, and RMF readiness strategies leveraging AI-driven automation pipelines.
Federal Validation — DISA ATO Accelerator Pilot
In 2024–2025 APS Global conducted a formal ATO Accelerator Pilot with the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Emerging Technology and Risk Management Directorates. The pilot was performed at the Capitol Technology University Tech Hub at no cost to the government.
Using a decommissioned DISA system and more than 300 historical compliance documents, the pilot demonstrated LLUCE’s ability to complete a full NIST SP 800-53 Revision 4 to Revision 5 gap analysis and associated POA&Ms in five business days — significantly faster than traditional RMF timelines. DISA Risk Management personnel reviewed the deliverables and noted the potential for cleaner ATO package submissions that can reduce review time.
Key R&D Focus Areas
In tandem with our educational delivery, our core research initiatives ensure curricula and solutions remain at the forefront of the industry:
- Advancement of LLUCE’s universal compliance compare-and-contrast architecture and agentic automation capabilities
- Sovereign AI deployment architectures engineered for highly regulated, high-security industries
- Academic and institutional collaboration under active federal frameworks (including the Capitol Technology University DISA/DOW Educational Partnership Agreement)
- Development of secure, air-gapped, and FedRAMP-compatible enterprise AI solutions
Dr. Rick Hansen — founder of APS Global LLC, CISSP, CMMC LCCA, and Adjunct Professor of Cybersecurity at an NSA and DHS Center of Academic Excellence — directs all research tracks and personally leads high-stakes corporate and executive training engagements.
